Happy 4th of July from our family to your family!

We had a blast 4th of July weekend going to the local parade and of course the rodeo to watch the awesome fireworks. The girls had a blast and Kenzie even made the front page of the paper :)

Summer Time.....

I am going to start this post with the most hilarious picture of Kenzie and how the girls chose to entertain themselves while I was cooking dinner. Then I have added some pictures of a wonderful summer that was well spent with two little girls and some much needed fun for MOM!

Firetrucks, Easter Bunny, Smokey Bear....OH MY!!

Easter 2010 was really fun this year because both Kailee and Kenzie could participate in all of the festivities. We attended the annual Ruidoso Easter Egg Hunt and Kenzie won a prize, which was really exciting!! We rode the firetrucks got our pics with the Easter Bunny and Smokey Bear, which Kenzie was not at all excited about! Kailee loved the Easter Bunny and followed him around for awhile just staring and pointing.

So I got a little behind......

Okay so I guess I got a little behind again and have a lot of catching up to do, so here I go catching everyone back up with the Padilla fam!! And I thought I would start with a couple of pictures from track season and this adorable GOT MILK pic :)

The girls would go to track practice with me and loved running on the track with all the athletes. Kailee would even grab my whistle and help me coach the hurdlers....it was too cute!

SISTERLY LOVE......

We never really knew how Kailee was going to be with Kenzie, but I think she really enjoys having a little sister. It was hard at first having two so close, but now it is a real treat!! I just had to share some pics of the girls as they have grown up in the last year.........enjoy!

My 2010 New Year Resolution!!!

Okay I know I started this blog about one year ago....last Easter exactly....but my 2010 Resolution is to continue with it and keep it updated for all my friends & family!!! The girls have grown so much and are changing daily that I think doing this will keep everyone that does not live close involved in their growing up ;) Oh and all the adventures that we have been encountering daily as well!!!

The Padilla girls just wanted to wish everyone a HAPPY VALENTINES DAY and send out lot's of kisses and hugs!! The above pics were both of the girls 1st Valentine Days!!!

Another COLD Easter!

Before I had little ones running around I worked for the Ruidoso Parks & Rec. and we would fill over 3,000 eggs for all the little kids. Well, doing that for 5 years you would think that I would be a little burnt out, but Easter is still one of my favorite Holidays and it is even more special now that I have my little angels to celebrate with! We had a very busy weekend ahead of us and we started it by delivering easter cards and cute little easter basket cupcakes, that my mom did a long time ago, and could not wait to make with Kailee this year for all of our loved ones!! Here is a picture of the easter cupcakes that we delivered....

On Saturday morning we did the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Ruidoso, which never fails has been cold for the past 5 years! You can tell by Kailee's face that it was bitter cold and she was not so sure about what was going on. We did practice the night before, but I think she thought it was more of a social event than hunting for easter eggs.

Then we traveled back to Grandma's house to do some egg decorating. That was too much fun and Kailee actually did a great job except for putting her hands in the cups of dye. She was very serious when painting her eggs...it was too adorable.

And then....there was Easter morning! The Easter Bunny showed up with the Easter baskets, we had breakfast at church, another egg hunt, went to church, went to Aunt Cherie's for lunch, had another egg hunt, played with the horses and all the cousins, WHEW what a weekend! Kailee finally had a good night sleep Sunday night...lol!
