Another COLD Easter!

Before I had little ones running around I worked for the Ruidoso Parks & Rec. and we would fill over 3,000 eggs for all the little kids. Well, doing that for 5 years you would think that I would be a little burnt out, but Easter is still one of my favorite Holidays and it is even more special now that I have my little angels to celebrate with! We had a very busy weekend ahead of us and we started it by delivering easter cards and cute little easter basket cupcakes, that my mom did a long time ago, and could not wait to make with Kailee this year for all of our loved ones!! On Saturday morning we did the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Ruidoso, which never fails has been cold for the past 5 years! You can tell by Kailee's face that it was bitter cold and she was not so sure about what was going on. We did practice the night before, but I think she thought it was more of a social event than hunting for easter eggs.

Then we traveled back to Grandma's house to do some egg decorating. That was too much fun and Kailee actually did a great job except for putting her hands in the cups of dye. She was very serious when painting her eggs...it was too adorable.

And then....there was Easter morning! The Easter Bunny showed up with the Easter baskets, we had breakfast at church, another egg hunt, went to church, went to Aunt Cherie's for lunch, had another egg hunt, played with the horses and all the cousins, WHEW what a weekend! Kailee finally had a good night sleep Sunday night...lol!
